Deanville - Lot 1 - 7501 Sylvania Ave.
One of the first houses in Deanville, existing before platting in 1944. First known resident was Solomon Carter, who owned the property from 1944 to 1972. Carter was employed at nearby fertilizer plant during the 1940s.
Deanville - Exempt Lot - 7509 Sylvania Ave..

Built ca 1925. Another one of the six houses that pre-date the platting of Deanville and therefore was incorporated into the plat. First owned by the Green's - Frank & Evelyn from 1944 to 1949, but directories do not list them occupied there during this period. Occupied by Minnie Green during the 1960s.
Deanville - Lot 6 - 7531 Sylvania Ave.
Built ca 1925. Another one of Deanville's original houses, this property was first occupied by Anna Oliver, who resided there from the mid-1940s to ca 1975. The house was torn down in 2000.
Deanville - Lot 7 - 7537 Sylvania Ave. Built ca 1950.
Charles and Terein Garrett were the first owners of this property, purchasing the lot in 1947 and building within three years. A 1963 Directory lists this address as home to Rehoboth Church of God. The house was demolished around 1979.
Deanville - Lot 8 - 7543 Sylvania Ave.
Built ca 1950 Built ca 1952, this house was owned by Lige & Elizabeth Thompson, who also owned the property next door. They purchase the lot in 1947, selling it in 1986. Lige was occupied as a construction worker in 1947. The house was torn down in 2000.
Deanville - Lot 9 - 7547 Sylvania Ave. Built ca 1945.
Like 7543 Sylvania, this house was also owned by the Thompsons - Lige and Elizabeth - and they may have lived here before building the new house next door. They most likely used it for rental property or as an outbuilding during its short-lived existence and it had become heavily deteriorated by the early 1960s. It was one of the first houses to be torn down in Deanville when it was razed ca. 1965
Deanville - Lot 10 - 7551 Sylvania Ave.

Built ca 1948 One of the larger homes of Deanville, this house was primarily utilized as rental property during its early years. In 1949, the house was purchased by Iva Gailes who continued to rent out the property. The house was demolished ca 1975.

Deanville - Lot 13 - 7552 Deanville Rd. Built ca 1948.

Appearing to be very crudely built, this house was utilized as rental property for most of its existence or was vacant. However, it managed to stay standing for almost 30 years before being torn down in the 1970s. It was never appraised for over $300 on county tax records.
Deanville - Lot 14 - 7548 Deanville Rd. Built ca 1948

The occupancy record is spotty for this house, which went through several changes of ownership during the 1950s. No occupants, or even the address were listed in the 1963 and later directories, indicating that the house was probably vacant for most of its existence. It was finally torn down in 1990.
Deanville - Lot 16 - 7538 Deanville Rd. Built ca 1947. 1948

Louis and Helne Sanders purchased this home in 1949, but may have lived in it for a short time as early as 1947. It was mostly utilized as rental property after 1950. It had been abandoned for several years by the time it was demolished in 2000.
Deanville - Lot 18 - 7528 Deanville Road. Built ca 1951.

The house, lacking a foundation in this early 1950s photo, was owned by the Church of Israel for virtually all of its days and was probably rented out or left vacant for most of its existence. No tenant record could be found. Appraised at only $40 in 1976, it was probably abandoned for most of the years leading up to its subsequent demolition.
Deanville - Lot 21 - 3933 King Road. Built ca 1925

This house was owned by Myrtle Redding at time of platting but was sold to Vincent and Inez Brown in 1954. Brown was emplyed at a Serviceman for Koph Motor Sales in 1947, when he was still renting out the property. This house is typcial of the one story low pitched Bungalow types that were common during the 1920s. Note similarities in form and window placement to the next property (3929 King).
Deanville - Lot 22 - 3929 King Road. Built ca 1925

This house was owned by Lee Dean, no doubt a relative of James and Myrtle Dean who owned the land that was platted into Deanville in 1944. One of six houses that predate platting, it was probably constructed in the mid-1920s. Dean, a laborer for Unicast, resided at the property until moving to St. Louis in 1964.
Deanville - Lot 23 - 3929 King Road. Built ca 1940

Built ca 1940, the earliest known occupant was Ben Cleveland who owned the property, and the lot behind, until 1975. The house was torn down soon thereafter, showing up as a vacant lot in 1979 tax appraisals.
Deanville - Lot 25 - 3905 King Road. Built ca 1945

Deanville - Lot 29 - 7531 Deanville Road. Built ca 1946.

This Ranch-styte masonry dwelling was first owned by William and Alma Mars, who resided there until ca 1965. In 1970, the occupant is listed as S. A. Kizer. The property was torn down in 1980.

Deanville - Lot 31 - 7541 Deanville. Built ca 1953.

Deanville - Lot 32 - 7547 Deanville. Built ca 1948.

First known residents were Forrester & Ruth Boyington. The Boyingtons stayed there for almost fifty years, selling the property in 1994. It remained in existence all the way to the redevopment of the entire site in 2000
